Freshen 2018

Ford’s pony car is being freshened this year with an updated grille, faster 0-to-60 times and a new “burnout” mode that effectively holds the car in place while the driver hits the throttle and spins the tires. Ford is axing the V-6 engine and is offering only a 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V-8. The 2019 Shelby GT350, on sale in the first quarter of 2019, receives new tires, changes to the suspension and a new aerodynamics package that includes an updated rear spoiler with an optional Gurney flap.

Redesign 2020

The next-generation Mustang will bow in 2020 and will include a hybrid model. Ford promises V-8 power with increased low-end torque.
