The Ford Transit Connect cargo van receives its first significant updates since 2014. The 2019 model, on sale in Fall 2018, will come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. That replaces the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine on the outgoing van. A new 1.5-liter EcoBlue diesel engine, also paired with an eight-speed transmission, is available as the only diesel option in the segment. Ford expects it to be rated at 30 mpg highway.
