Two of the Detroit 3's CEOs will speak next month at the 2008 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit.

Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally kicks off the formal proceedings when he addresses the congress Tuesday morning, Jan. 22.

Chrysler LLC CEO Bob Nardelli will be a keynote speaker at dinner Tuesday, along with turnaround financier Wilbur Ross.

Speakers at the gala dinner Wednesday, Jan. 23, will be Bob Lutz, General Motors vice chairman and product guru, and Bernd Bohr, chairman of Robert Bosch's automotive operations.

In all, 30 industry leaders from around the globe will address topics including product development and relationship-building in developing markets.

General sessions will take place both mornings. Afternoons will feature tightly focused sessions with speakers discussing:

  • Opportunities and challenges in going green.

  • New dealership perspectives in the changing retail environment.

  • More personalized sales and marketing strategies to reach consumers.

  • Best ways to create a presence in the rapidly developing markets of Russia, India and China.
